The Parkland Center for Cardiology
(603-421-2240) specializes in diagnosing and treating all aspects of heart disease so our patients can lead healthy and active lives. Our goal is to help detect problems early, when they can be treated most effectively, and to monitor the progress of treatment and recovery for every one of our patients.

From our nationally accredited Echocardiography Laboratory to our state-of-the-are cardiac catheterization and primary angioplasty program, Parkland Center for Cardiology offers the most sophisticated technology available, equipment, and procedures to evaluate the nature and extent of cardiac disease and to develop a treatment plan that meets the individual needs of each patient.

Not only do we diagnose and treat heart disease, we provide multi-dimensional cardiac rehabilitation services including exercise, education, relaxation techniques, and nutritional instruction. Our cardiac rehabilitation program meets the highest standard of quality cardiovascular care and is accredited by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR).

Through our affiliation with the New England Heart Institute, patients coming to the Parkland Center for Cardiology have access to one of the region’s most highly trained, board-certified cardiology teams. Our cardiologists have highly specialized credentials and are experts in evaluating, treating, and preventing heart and blood vessel disease; restoring blood flow to the heart; detecting and providing medical therapy for heart disease; and evaluating and treating patients with complex heart rhythm disorders.

Our expert physicians, in concert with the exceptionally trained, compassionate staff at Parkland Center for Cardiology, offer comprehensive, state-of-the-art cardiac services in a caring, respectful manner.

Parkland Center for Cardiology evaluates:

  • Angina/chest pain
  • Arrhymia/irregular or rapid heartbeat
  • Palpitations 
  • Congestive heart failure
  • Defibrillators/pacemakers
  • Dizziness/shortness of breath 
  • Valvular disorders 
  • Rapid heartbeat
  • Heart attacks
  • Lipid disorders
  •  

     

    Non-invasive cardiology includes:

  • Adult echocardiography lab
  • Transesophageal echocardiography
  • Exercise stress testing with or without the following
             Nuclear imaging
             Echocardiography
             Pharmacologic stress testing such as Lexiscan and Dobutamine
  • Holter monitor
  • Event monitoring
  • Electrocardiography (ECGs)
  • Outpatient arrhythmia clinic
  • Pacemaker and defibrillator analysis and reprogramming
  • Comprehensive inpatient and outpatient education
  • Invasive cardiology includes:

    • State-of-the-art cardiac catheterization
    • Primary and elective angioplasty service 
          Coronary Stenting
    • Diagnostic and interventional peripheral vascular procedures
    • Electrophysiology services (e.g., placement of pacemakers)
    • Implantable loop recorder
    • Cardioversion

    Recovery and Cardiac Rehabilitation includes:

    • Three phases, multidimensional cardiac rehabilitation program
    • Blood pressure follow up and screening clinic
    • Comprehensive inpatient and outpatient education
    • Anticoagulation management
    • Outpatient heart failure follow up

    Directions

    From Route 93 North
    Take Exit 4 (Route 102 East). At the end of the exit ramp, turn right. At the second traffic light, turn right onto Birch Street. Parkland Medical Center will be approximately 1 mile on the left.

    From Route 93 South
    Take Exit 4 (Route 102 East). At the end of the exit ramp, turn left. At the third traffic light, turn right onto Birch Street. Parkland Medical Center will be approximately 1 mile on the left.
